Desired Qualifications & Experience
- Master’s degree in school psychology required
- At least two years of experience as a school psychologist intern or equivalent background
- Valid state certification as a School Psychologist
- Skilled in administering and interpreting psychological and behavioral assessments
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with students, staff, families, and external agencies
- Exceptional communication, documentation, and organizational abilities
- Comfortable using computers and standard office technology
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations to determine student eligibility for special education
- Administer, score, and interpret a range of psychological tests and prepare detailed reports
- Provide individual and group counseling for students
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and outside professionals to support student learning and well-being
- Participate in student assessment teams, IEP development, and multidisciplinary placement meetings
- Lead or contribute to crisis management and intervention within the school context
- Stay current through professional development and comply with all applicable laws, policies, and procedures
- Prepare and maintain documentation, reports, and Medicaid forms as required
