Desired Qualifications & Experience

  • Master’s degree in school psychology required
  • At least two years of experience as a school psychologist intern or equivalent background
  • Valid state certification as a School Psychologist
  • Skilled in administering and interpreting psychological and behavioral assessments
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with students, staff, families, and external agencies
  • Exceptional communication, documentation, and organizational abilities
  • Comfortable using computers and standard office technology

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations to determine student eligibility for special education
  • Administer, score, and interpret a range of psychological tests and prepare detailed reports
  • Provide individual and group counseling for students
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and outside professionals to support student learning and well-being
  • Participate in student assessment teams, IEP development, and multidisciplinary placement meetings
  • Lead or contribute to crisis management and intervention within the school context
  • Stay current through professional development and comply with all applicable laws, policies, and procedures
  • Prepare and maintain documentation, reports, and Medicaid forms as required
