Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist (state requirements must be met)
- Experience in administering cognitive and behavioral assessments for students
- Background in developing, implementing, and monitoring individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Proficiency in crisis intervention, counseling, and providing recommendations for classroom interventions
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to partner effectively with faculty, staff, and families
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical practice in all responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations and report findings in clear, accessible language
- Support the development and monitoring of IEPs and Section 504 plans according to student needs
- Provide direct counseling services for students individually and in small groups
- Participate in student support and multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss interventions and progress
- Advise teachers and staff on strategies for supporting diverse learners and promoting a healthy school climate
- Assist in crisis response protocols and follow-up as needed
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with school and district policies
