Make an immediate impact supporting students as a School Psychologist in a dynamic educational setting near Elkton, MD. This contract opportunity is ideal for professionals eager to engage directly with elementary or middle school populations, providing valuable psychoeducational support through the end of the school year.
In this full-time role, you’ll take on a variable caseload—typically around 70 evaluations—balancing comprehensive assessments with counseling and support services. Daily responsibilities include attending Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTTS) meetings, as well as IEP and 504 meetings. Your expertise will help guide and advocate for students’ academic and emotional needs, making a difference in their educational journey.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) School Psychologist certification required
- Demonstrated experience conducting psychoeducational evaluations
- Background working with elementary or middle school students preferred
- Familiarity with IEP and 504 plan processes
- Strong ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Availability to start as soon as possible and commit through June 12
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychoeducational assessments for referred students
- Deliver counseling services as determined by student need
- Participate actively in MTTS, IEP, and 504 meetings
- Document and communicate findings and recommendations effectively
- Support students’ social, emotional, and academic growth
Additional Details:
- 37.5 hours per week; Elementary hours 8:15am-3:45pm, Secondary hours 7:30am-3:00pm
