Elementary School Psychologist - Ellington, Connecticut

Step into an impactful role supporting elementary students as a contracted School Psychologist. This full-time position offers 37.5 hours per week, with a consistent schedule from 7:45 am to 3:15 pm, ensuring you have predictable days and ample opportunity to connect with students and staff. You'll work closely with a manageable caseload of 10 elementary students, providing both assessments and some direct counseling to help them thrive academically and emotionally.

Key Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid school psychologist certification or relevant state licensure
• Experience supporting elementary-aged children preferred
• Strong assessment and counseling skills
• Ability to collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ready to work onsite; this position is not eligible for hybrid or virtual arrangements

Primary Responsibilities:

• Administer psychological and educational assessments for students, interpreting results and sharing recommendations with the educational team
• Provide short-term, solution-focused counseling for identified students
• Collaborate with school staff and families to develop intervention strategies
• Participate in IEP and student support meetings, offering data-driven insights
• Maintain confidential records and comply with all ethical and legal standards in school psychology
