Step into a vibrant elementary school environment and lend your expertise as a School Psychologist, serving PreK-5 students in the Elmwood Park, IL, area and surrounding communities. This full-time contract role runs from August 17, 2026, through May 28, 2027, and offers the opportunity to make a tangible difference in the lives of young learners as part of a collaborative and supportive team.

Key Qualifications:

  • Master’s or Specialist-level degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
  • Valid licensure as a School Psychologist in Illinois or eligibility for licensure
  • Experience working with early intervention programs and elementary-aged students preferred
  • Strong assessment, counseling, and consultation skills
  • Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, families, and staff
  • Solid organizational, documentation, and communication abilities

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct initial and re-evaluations for students transitioning from early intervention through fifth grade
  • Provide direct support and intervention for student social-emotional and behavioral needs
  • Participate in IEP meetings and provide recommendations based on assessment findings
  • Consult with teachers, families, and staff to design and implement effective supports
  • Collaborate as an active member of the crisis response team, offering support during student or school-wide crises
  • Maintain thorough records and adhere to all district, state, and federal requirements

This position offers a steady, predictable Monday–Friday schedule from 7:45 AM–3:15 PM, allowing for work-life balance throughout the school year.
