This is a full-time position, 35 hours per week, ideal for professionals eager to guide students through their high school journey.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active School Psychologist certification/licensure, or eligibility for Connecticut
  • Prior experience working in a school setting, ideally at the high school level
  • Strong assessment and report writing skills
  • Ability to provide individual and group counseling
  • Collaborative skills for working with teachers, parents, and support staff
  • Expertise in administering and interpreting cognitive, academic, and behavioral assessments

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations for students referred for special education services
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Offer social-emotional and behavioral interventions tailored to high school students
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student growth
  • Deliver counseling and crisis intervention as needed
  • Partner with families and staff to ensure students’ academic and social-emotional needs are met
  • Maintain accurate records in compliance with district, state, and federal regulations
