Key Qualifications:
- Active School Psychologist certification/licensure, or eligibility for Connecticut
- Prior experience working in a school setting, ideally at the high school level
- Strong assessment and report writing skills
- Ability to provide individual and group counseling
- Collaborative skills for working with teachers, parents, and support staff
- Expertise in administering and interpreting cognitive, academic, and behavioral assessments
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations for students referred for special education services
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Offer social-emotional and behavioral interventions tailored to high school students
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student growth
- Deliver counseling and crisis intervention as needed
- Partner with families and staff to ensure students’ academic and social-emotional needs are met
- Maintain accurate records in compliance with district, state, and federal regulations
