This part-time contract position offers the opportunity to serve two elementary schools, providing dedicated support for students and educators in both Parker and Franktown. You’ll work one day per week (8 hours) at each location, focusing primarily on special education assessment and embracing a collaborative school community.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current licensure or eligibility as a School Psychologist.
- Experience working in a school setting, preferably at the elementary level.
- Strong background in conducting special education assessments and writing comprehensive reports.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities.
- Passion for supporting children’s social-emotional and academic growth.
- Commitment to ethical practices and student confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer a full range of psychoeducational assessments for students referred for special education services.
- Interpret results and develop actionable recommendations to guide student support plans.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to create positive educational outcomes.
- Attend and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, contributing expertise in the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Promote a safe, inclusive, and positive school climate.
- Provide consultation and advocacy for students’ diverse needs.
