Embark on a meaningful career journey as a School Psychologist supporting 5th and 6th grade students in a vibrant educational setting near Reading, PA. This is a full-time, on-site contract role, designed for individuals passionate about student well-being and educational success. Enjoy a balanced schedule—Monday through Friday, 8:15 AM to 3:50 PM—with a start date as soon as possible and assignment stability through June 4, 2027. With a manageable caseload averaging 10 evaluations per month, you will play a vital part in fostering both academic and social-emotional growth.
Ideal Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid School Psychologist certification recognized in Pennsylvania
- Experience or coursework in conducting psychoeducational evaluations
- Strong understanding of child development and diverse learning needs
- Effective communicator—comfortable interacting with students, families, and school teams
- Familiarity with MTSS (Multi-Tiered System of Supports) and SAP (Student Assistance Program) practices
- Skilled at preparing comprehensive evaluation reports
- Well-organized, detail-oriented, and committed to timely documentation
- Team player, ready to collaborate with educators and administrators
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychoeducational and other school-based evaluations for 5th and 6th grade students
- Complete detailed evaluation reports and present findings to multidisciplinary teams and families
- Consult with teachers on students’ academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs
- Participate actively in MTSS and SAP meetings, contributing expertise and insights
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement recommendations and support strategies
- Uphold all school and state documentation standards
- Foster an inclusive, supportive school environment
Compensation for this position ranges from $55.44 to $65.78 per hour.
