School Psychologist - Espanola, NM

Make a positive impact in elementary education as a contract school psychologist in northern New Mexico. This onsite opportunity spans the academic year, providing meaningful support to students and staff across two elementary sites. You will use your expertise to craft and implement individualized behavior plans, collaborate in pre-referral and evaluation activities, and play a pivotal role in fostering a nurturing school environment.

Key Qualifications:

• Required: Licensed School Psychologist or School Social Worker (credentials in New Mexico or eligibility for licensure)
• Strong experience developing and implementing effective behavior intervention plans
• Background in conducting pre-referral and comprehensive evaluative activities in a school setting
• Experience supporting staff and teams in behavior management strategies across multiple environments
• Stellar interpersonal and communication skills to work collaboratively with educators, administrators, and families
• Ability to deliver onsite services exclusively for seven hours daily, across two elementary campuses

• Assess and address student behavioral and emotional needs within elementary settings
• Guide staff in managing student behaviors through evidence-based strategies and interventions
• Provide direct support to students using both one-on-one and group techniques
• Participate in pre-referral processes, contributing expertise for evaluation and placement decisions
