An outstanding opportunity awaits for an experienced School Psychologist seeking a contract position in a vibrant K-12 setting near Essex Junction, VT. This full-time role spans 37.5 hours per week (Monday through Friday), serving students across multiple school sites, all conveniently located within a half-mile radius. Your expertise will make a meaningful impact by supporting students’ academic and emotional development throughout the school year.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active and valid School Psychologist license for the state of Vermont
  • Demonstrated experience in assessing and identifying learning disabilities in K-12 students
  • Comprehensive understanding of special education processes and psychological evaluations
  • Ability to manage a diverse caseload and complete 50-60 evaluations annually
  • Strong collaboration skills for working with teachers, administrators, and families
  • Comfortable providing direct services onsite five days each week

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough psychological assessments and evaluate students to help identify learning and behavioral needs
  • Prepare detailed, legally defensible reports with actionable recommendations for academic and behavioral interventions
  • Consult with educators, parents, and support staff to develop and monitor IEPs and intervention plans
  • Provide crisis intervention, individual counseling, and consultation as needed to support student success
  • Participate actively in school-wide initiatives, staff meetings, and professional development opportunities
