This in-person contract position allows you to work collaboratively with educators, students, and families to support the academic, emotional, and social well-being of a caseload of 60 scholars. Qualifications:
- Master’s degree or higher in Psychology or Educational Psychology (required)
- Active State/District Licensure/Certificate (IL PEL with School Psychologist Endorsement)
- Minimum of two years of school-based experience
- Demonstrated commitment to educational core values and student-centered approaches
- Persistent mindset toward supporting the holistic success of each child
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment, prevention, identification, and support for students’ academic and social-emotional needs
- Function as an integral member of school-based teams (SPED, 504, MTSS), ensuring compliance and implementation of individual support plans
- Lead interventions, progress monitoring, and consultation within MTSS frameworks, especially for Tier 3 students
- Prepare thorough documentation, maintain confidentiality, and facilitate communication with families, staff, and external agencies as necessary
- Stay updated on best practices, sharing insights with colleagues and presenting professional development when needed
- Maintain accurate records of all interventions, progress, and collaborative activities according to required guidelines
- Consistently participate in professional meetings, acting as both an advocate and expert regarding child development and learning disorders
