A rewarding contract opportunity is open for experienced School Psychologists interested in making a significant impact on K-8 students in a supportive, in-person setting near Evanston, IL. You’ll provide services across two locations with a manageable caseload of 60, dedicated to fostering academic and social-emotional success.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree or higher in Psychology or Educational Psychology
- Valid State/District Licensure for School Psychology (PEL with School Psychologist Endorsement required in IL)
- Minimum of 2 years of school-based experience
- Deep understanding of MTSS, SPED, 504 processes and best practices
- A strong record of living core values, prioritizing student success
- Ability to collaborate effectively with school teams and stakeholders
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and support students’ academic, emotional, and behavioral needs to enhance access to learning
- Function as a valued member of networks and school-based teams (SPED, 504, MTSS), ensuring timely, appropriate evaluations and individualized support plans
- Provide consultation, lead interventions, and monitor progress for Tier 3 students
- Prepare and present compliance documents and participate in school-based meetings (eligibility, IEPs, 504, annual reviews)
- Maintain confidential records, collaboration logs, and progress monitoring documentation
- Request and manage information from external agencies as needed for comprehensive evaluations
- Engage in professional development, stay informed on best practices, and share knowledge within the team
- Serve as a liaison and subject matter expert on child development and learning disorders
