Two full-time positions are available: one in an elementary school setting and another at the middle school level, both located near Evanston, IL. These opportunities offer the chance to collaborate with established occupational therapy staff and other school psychologists, fostering a supportive and resource-rich environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Psychologist endorsement
- Current Illinois School Psychologist License
- Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply, but not required
- Expertise in psychoeducational assessments and re-evaluations
- Experience in educational settings, supporting students with IEPs
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations, re-evaluations, and initial assessments
- Consult with multidisciplinary teams to inform individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate closely with existing OT staff and school psychologists to ensure seamless support for students
- At the elementary level: focus on psychoeducational evaluations within a community of 102 total IEPs
- At the middle school level: manage a caseload based on scheduled re-evaluations and ongoing assessment needs for a population of 123 IEPs
- Participate in onsite interviews for the elementary position; virtual interviews accommodated for the middle school role
