Key Qualifications:
- Valid NY State School Psychologist Certification (required)
- Experience with K-12 populations
- Proficiency in conducting initial evaluations, re-evaluations, and counseling
- Familiarity with MTSS (Multi-Tiered System of Supports) and testing protocols
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply (a plus, but not required)
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive initial and re-evaluations for students across K-12 grades
- Provide individual and group counseling to support students’ academic and social-emotional development
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families within the MTSS framework to interpret assessment data and design interventions
- Administer and interpret standardized psychological assessments
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student intervention strategies
- Document all evaluations, counseling sessions, and communication according to school and district guidelines
- Serve as a resource to staff and families regarding students’ behavioral and learning needs
This role is a full-time, onsite position for 37.5 hours per week and offers the opportunity to build meaningful relationships within the school community while expanding your professional experience in both CSY/NSY contexts.
