Make a meaningful impact supporting students as a contract school psychologist in the greater Florissant, MO area! This role offers the opportunity to provide vital psychological services to students in up to two school sites, with assignments likely within either the Hazelwood or Bayless districts. You'll join a highly supportive environment that values manageable caseloads and ensures contractors are never overwhelmed, all while contributing your expertise from late August through the end of May.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Missouri Department of Education (DOE) certification in School Psychology required
- Proven background performing assessments, evaluations, and report writing for K-12 and/or secondary populations
- Ability to complete and maintain strict credentialing requirements, including drug screening and fingerprinting before placement
- Familiarity with Child Find principles and strong understanding of educational compliance and best practices
- Comfortable balancing a caseload of 30-40 students and adapting to the needs of either elementary, high school, or K-12 settings
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to work collaboratively with educators, administrators, and families
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive student assessments and evaluations in accordance with state and federal guidelines
- Prepare detailed, timely reports to inform educational planning and interventions
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Work closely with district leadership and support staff to promote students’ academic, social, and emotional well-being
- Maintain accurate records and ensure timely documentation
