Compensation for this role ranges from $55-$65 per hour, reflecting the value and specialized expertise that skilled School Psychologists provide.
Qualifications and Desired Background:
- Valid credential or licensure for School Psychology (PPS Credential or equivalent)
- Experience supporting TK-5th grade students preferred
- Familiarity with assessments, IEP processes, and development of intervention plans
- Strong collaboration skills with teachers, families, and support staff
- Understanding of best practices in behavior management, learning differences, and mental health support in school settings
- Ability to work independently and manage a diverse caseload across multiple classroom types
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments
- Interpret results and present findings to IEP teams and families
- Contribute to eligibility decisions and help create individualized education plans for students
- Provide consultation to teachers in support of effective classroom interventions
- Deliver direct services such as counseling, social skills groups, or behavioral support for varied student needs
- Work proactively with staff in both SDC and general education environments to ensure students’ academic and emotional needs are met
