Step into an impactful role as a school psychologist supporting students across a dynamic elementary and middle school setting. This contract opportunity runs from August 10, 2026, to May 21, 2027, with a steady schedule of 35 hours per week. You'll serve as an itinerant specialist, traveling between five schools and making a critical difference in the academic and emotional lives of students in the Fort Worth area.
Bring your expertise in psychological evaluation and school-based interventions to a collaborative, supportive environment. Working on-site, you'll partner with school teams to deliver high-quality assessments, direct services, and behavior intervention plans focused on Autism (AU), Emotional Disturbance (ED), and Other Health Impairments (OHI), including ADHD.
Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
- Active License Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP) or Associate School Psychologist Credential from the Board of Examiners of Psychologist
- Extensive experience with school-based psychological services
- Proficiency in conducting functional behavioral assessments (FBAs) and implementing behavioral intervention plans (BIPs)
- Knowledge of direct service delivery and evaluation processes for AU, ED, and OHI categories
- Bilingual Spanish/English skills and prior experience working in schools are highly valued
Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychoeducational evaluations and assessments of students in elementary and middle school settings
- Collaborate with educational teams to develop, implement, and monitor IEPs and individualized interventions
- Carry out FBAs/BIPs for students requiring behavioral support
- Provide direct counseling and consultation services as required
- Manage travel across assigned campuses within the Fort Worth area
