This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative special education team supporting students across multiple campuses through comprehensive evaluations, behavioral services, and multidisciplinary collaboration.

Position Details

  • Full-Time 
  • 35 hours per week
  • Onsite
  • Assignment Dates: August 10, 2026 – May 21, 2027
  • Assignment: Itinerant role supporting approximately 5 campuses
  • Primary Caseload: Elementary students, with some middle school support

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations
  • Complete initial evaluations and reevaluations
  • Support students with Autism (AU), Emotional Disturbance (ED), and Other Health Impairment (OHI)
  • Conduct ADHD assessments
  • Provide direct psychological services and behavioral interventions
  • Complete Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs)
  • Develop and monitor Behavioral Intervention Plans (BIPs)
  • Participate in Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Maintain accurate documentation while ensuring compliance with Texas and federal special education regulations
  • Travel between assigned campuses as needed

Qualifications

  • Active Texas Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP) license or Associate School Psychologist Credential issued by the Texas Board of Examiners of Psychologists
  • Previous school-based experience preferred
  • Experience conducting psychoeducational evaluations and behavioral assessments
  • Strong knowledge of special education eligibility and evaluation procedures
  • Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) candidates are strongly preferred
