School Psychologist in Franklin, VA

Embark on a rewarding opportunity as an on-site School Psychologist supporting students throughout the full 26/27 school year. This contract position offers full-time, 40-hour workweeks with a high likelihood of renewal and competitive hourly compensation, paid weekly. You’ll collaborate closely with fellow school psychologists, educational diagnosticians, social workers, and related service providers to foster student growth and success.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist
• Experience in administering cognitive assessments, conducting student evaluations, and interpreting rating scales
• Strong skills in collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and guiding school staff through eligibility processes
• Familiarity with school-based eligibility, re-evaluation, and termination meetings preferred
• Ability to interpret eligibility criteria and facilitate clear communication with school teams
• Flexible and adaptable to support multiple school sites (2-3), based on caseload and staffing needs
• Excellent organizational and documentation skills

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide psychological assessments, cognitive testing, and classroom observations for assigned students
• Collaborate with educational diagnosticians (ed diags) administering achievement testing, and partner in coordinated service delivery
• Guide school staff and parents through child study, eligibility, manifestation, and termination meetings
• Interpret eligibility worksheets, and ensure compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines
• Contribute to team-based problem-solving for diverse student needs
• Work as part of a supportive team that shares caseloads and meeting days to maximize student support
