Desired Qualifications:
- Graduate degree (MA, MS, or MEd) in School Psychology or a closely related field
- Certification as a School Psychologist (open to candidates in the process of obtaining certification)
- Minimum of three years of experience working with a broad range of student ages
- Strong skills in assessment, diagnostics, counseling, and collaboration
Major Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive psychological evaluations for students referred by parents, faculty, or administration, and deliver clear, timely reports
- Review assessment results and recommendations with families and educators to foster collaborative support
- Conduct classroom observations and a variety of developmental and educational assessments, including those for kindergarten readiness
- Actively participate as part of CSE, CPSE, and 504 committees to ensure student needs are met
- Interpret and review external psycho-educational evaluations
- Provide short-term, targeted counseling—individually or in small groups—and crisis intervention as needed
- Consult with teachers, counselors, and other staff to address student needs and crisis situations
- Maintain confidential records and professional standards while building positive relationships district-wide
- Engage with local and regional agencies for referrals and resources as appropriate
- Support the Director of Special Education and complete other duties as assigned
