Qualifications:
- Master’s or doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field
- Valid California PPS (Pupil Personnel Services) credential in School Psychology
- Experience in school-based psychological services
- Familiarity with counseling, crisis intervention, and consultation in an educational environment
- Ability to administer and interpret psychoeducational assessments
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Commitment to supporting diverse student populations
Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations to identify students' needs
- Provide short-term counseling and crisis intervention as required
- Develop intervention strategies and recommendations for individual students
- Collaborate closely with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to create supportive learning environments
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of education plans
- Maintain accurate, confidential student records in accordance with district policies and federal regulations
- Offer guidance and training to educational staff regarding mental health and behavioral interventions
