Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field
- Valid School Psychologist certification/licensure for the state
- Experience with psychological and academic assessments
- Strong collaboration and communication abilities
- Ability to develop meaningful rapport with students, staff, and families
- Knowledge of evidence-based behavioral and academic interventions
- Familiarity with IEP process, 504 plans, and special education services
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students’ cognitive, emotional, and behavioral needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create effective intervention and support plans
- Participate in IEP and other multidisciplinary team meetings
- Provide individual and group counseling or skill-building sessions for students as needed
- Assist in developing and implementing positive behavioral interventions across the school
- Offer crisis intervention and ongoing support to students facing academic or emotional challenges
- Remain current on best practices in school psychology to enhance the effectiveness of services
