This contract opportunity runs from July 27th, 2026, through May 28th, 2027, providing essential psychological services to students across a full school year. With a 37.5-hour work week and onsite presence required, you’ll be a vital part of a dedicated educational team.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Virginia Psychologist License (VA Psych License) required
- Previous experience as a school psychologist preferred
- Strong understanding of assessment tools, special education processes, and student support strategies
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to ethical standards and professional growth
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and evaluations
- Interpret data to support student learning and behavioral needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Provide crisis intervention, counseling, and consultative services
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, helping guide educational planning and intervention
- Support district initiatives related to mental health and emotional well-being
- Maintain thorough, timely documentation of services in compliance with local and state regulations
