Key Qualifications:

  • Active New York School Psychologist certification required
  • Experience assessing students using a variety of psychological measures and techniques
  • Skilled in chairing CSE meetings; preference for candidates with CSE/CPSE Chairperson training or experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and families
  • Proven capability to manage and prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced school environment

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments for students in a K-2 building
  • Lead and facilitate Committee on Special Education (CSE) meetings
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to develop and implement educational plans
  • Provide input into individualized education plans (IEPs) and participate actively in team decision-making
  • Serve as a key resource and advocate for young learners with a variety of needs
