Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Current and valid North Carolina School Psychologist license required
  • Experience in school-based settings, with knowledge of both elementary and secondary education
  • Certification as a School Psychologist preferred
  • Strong ability to conduct comprehensive evaluations and psychological assessments
  • Adaptable communication skills across different age groups and educational backgrounds
  • Capable of working collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and administrators

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer and interpret psychological assessments for students in grades K-12
  • Participate in eligibility determination and development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Consult with educators and parents to provide recommendations for classroom strategies and interventions
  • Assist in crisis intervention and support services as needed
  • Maintain thorough and timely documentation of assessments, meetings, and services provided
  • Uphold ethical and legal standards in the delivery of psychological services within the school environment
