A rewarding opportunity is available for a skilled professional to support students in a welcoming educational setting near Glendale, AZ. This part-time, contract-based role is perfect for those passionate about making a positive impact, fitting well into your schedule with 20-25 hours per week during the academic year, from July 27, 2026, through May 20, 2027. Working from 7:30am to 2:40pm, you’ll play a pivotal role in nurturing student success at the elementary level (PreK-8th grade).
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist
- Experience working with elementary-aged children, particularly PreK through 8th grade
- Proficiency in administering and interpreting psychological/educational assessments
- Strong collaborative skills, especially within multidisciplinary teams
- Familiarity with special education processes, including evaluation and IEP development
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Core Responsibilities:
- Lead the school’s multidisciplinary team through referrals, evaluations, IEP creation, and program placements for students eligible for special education
- Conduct comprehensive psychological and educational evaluations for referred students, and interpret the results to guide educational planning
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and specialists to create supportive learning environments
- Maintain detailed, timely, and compliant documentation in all areas of service
- Participate in ongoing consultation and communication regarding student needs and interventions
