Qualifications and Experience:
- Current NASP certification or an LSSP credential from the Louisiana State Board of Examiners and Psychologists
- Strong knowledge of psychoeducational evaluations and compliance with IDEA
- Experience interpreting assessment data and writing thorough evaluation reports
- Familiarity with special education eligibility criteria and multidisciplinary processes
- Clear, professional communication skills with parents, educators, and school teams
- Effective collaboration with educational diagnosticians, social workers, SLPs, and administrators
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities to ensure all evaluations meet required timelines
- Bilingual candidates are highly encouraged to apply
- Must complete district background check and fingerprinting requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Function as an integral member of multidisciplinary teams across multiple K-12 sites
- Conduct assessments, interpret results, and provide comprehensive written reports within set deadlines
- Offer information and referral services for families; work with students directly using established methods
- Partner with school personnel and families to build successful intervention strategies
- Maintain accurate case records and follow program accountability standards
- Participate in staff and parent in-services, explaining assessment processes and results
