You'll work consistently, Monday through Friday, for 40 hours weekly, managing a full caseload across a dynamic population of 670 students.
Your expertise will be vital in helping children navigate academic, behavioral, and emotional challenges. Experience serving K-8 students, especially handling assessments and interventions tailored to elementary and middle school populations, will set you apart. Key Responsibilities:
- Administer psychological assessments to evaluate cognitive, social, and emotional development.
- Deliver individual and group counseling services addressing student mental health concerns.
- Collaborate regularly with teachers, administrators, and families to support student success.
- Design and implement evidence-based interventions for emotional and behavioral issues.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise toward student goal development.
- Provide crisis intervention and support during times of acute student need.
- Educate faculty and families on youth mental health and available resources.
- Maintain thorough, confidential documentation of assessments and interventions.
- Support additional duties as needed to foster a positive school environment.
Qualifications:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology.
- Active South Carolina School Psychologist certification.
- Previous experience conducting counseling and assessments in school settings.
- Advanced understanding of childhood and adolescent mental health concerns.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Direct experience with K-8 populations is highly valued.
