School Psychologist - Goose Creek, SC

Step into a meaningful contract opportunity supporting K-8 students for the full academic year. This position is ideal for a school psychologist who thrives in diverse environments and enjoys collaborating with a supportive educational community. You'll work consistently, Monday through Friday, for 40 hours weekly, managing a full caseload across a dynamic population of 670 students.

Your expertise will be vital in helping children navigate academic, behavioral, and emotional challenges. Experience serving K-8 students, especially handling assessments and interventions tailored to elementary and middle school populations, will set you apart. You'll bring a compassionate, proactive approach to student wellbeing, forming lasting, positive impacts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer psychological assessments to evaluate cognitive, social, and emotional development.
• Deliver individual and group counseling services addressing student mental health concerns.
• Collaborate regularly with teachers, administrators, and families to support student success.
• Design and implement evidence-based interventions for emotional and behavioral issues.
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise toward student goal development.
• Provide crisis intervention and support during times of acute student need.
• Educate faculty and families on youth mental health and available resources.
• Maintain thorough, confidential documentation of assessments and interventions.
• Support additional duties as needed to foster a positive school environment.

Qualifications:

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology.
• Active South Carolina School Psychologist certification.
• Previous experience conducting counseling and assessments in school settings.
• Advanced understanding of childhood and adolescent mental health concerns.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Direct experience with K-8 populations is highly valued.
