A full-time School Psychologist position is available to provide comprehensive psychological services for K-12 students within a public school setting in Pittsfield, MA. This role focuses on delivering onsite support to address the diverse needs of the student population, promoting academic success, emotional well-being, and social development.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations for students from kindergarten through 12th grade
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and school staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide counseling and intervention services to support students' mental health and learning needs
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of behavioral and academic strategies
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions accordingly to maximize outcomes
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with state and federal regulations related to student services
Qualifications:
- Master’s or doctoral degree in school psychology from an accredited program
- Valid school psychologist certification or license for the state of Massachusetts
- Experience working with diverse student populations across elementary and secondary grade levels
- Strong knowledge of psychoeducational assessments, behavioral interventions, and special education laws
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage students, families, and school personnel
- Ability to work effectively within a team-oriented school environment
Location: Pittsfield Public Schools, Pittsfield, MA (onsite only)
This contract position offers the opportunity to work in a supportive school community with multiple caseload options tailored to candidate preference across K-12 grades.
