Key Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid School Psychologist certification or eligible for state certification
- Experience working within elementary school settings, ideally with grades 1–5
- Familiarity with special education procedures and SPED 26/27
- Ability to administer assessments, interpret results, and develop actionable recommendations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, and parents
- Compassionate, insightful approach to students’ academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations for students across 1st through 5th grades
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and behavioral interventions in accordance with SPED 26/27 guidelines
- Provide counseling, crisis intervention, and consultation services to students, staff, and families
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to address the unique learning needs of each student
- Participate in problem-solving meetings and help create a supportive school climate
- Maintain detailed and compliant documentation of assessments, services, and progress
