Qualifications:

  • Valid certification in School Psychology or Special Education, or an Elementary Teaching License for 1st–5th grade
  • Experience working with special education programs (including but not limited to SPED 26/27)
  • Strong skills in classroom management, lesson planning, and individualized education program (IEP) development
  • Effective communicator with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Dedication to creating supportive and engaging learning spaces for all students
  • Adaptable, collaborative, and committed to professional growth

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver instruction and support for students in general and special education settings (grades 1-5)
  • Develop and monitor IEPs and other educational plans in line with state and federal guidelines
  • Conduct assessments and provide recommendations to support student academic, social, and emotional success
  • Partner with teachers, staff, and families to implement individualized strategies and interventions
  • Document progress and maintain compliance with educational standards and requirements
  • Participate in professional development and ongoing training
