Key Qualifications:

  • Hold current Connecticut certification for school psychologists
  • Expertise in delivering psychological support within an elementary school setting
  • Strong skills in assessment, counseling, and intervention strategies
  • Experience participating in the development of IEPs and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
  • Ability to foster positive relationships with students, families, and staff
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological and psychoeducational evaluations
  • Provide individual and group counseling to support student well-being
  • Collaborate with teachers, special education teams, and parents regarding student progress and behavioral interventions
  • Develop and implement strategies to address academic, emotional, and behavioral needs
  • Facilitate social-emotional learning initiatives within the school community
  • Support crisis interventions and recommend appropriate resources
  • Maintain thorough and timely documentation in compliance with school policies
