Make a difference as a school psychologist providing vital support for elementary students in a contract LTS (Long-Term Substitute) role from August through Christmas break, with possible extension. Based in a welcoming community near Groton and East Lyme, CT, you'll work on-site in a school environment, helping young learners reach their full potential. This is a full-time opportunity to put your expertise and passion to work in a collaborative and supportive setting.

Qualifications:

  • Current Connecticut (CT) School Psychologist certification required
  • Experience working with elementary-aged children preferred
  • Strong assessment, counseling, and consultation skills
  • Ability to collaborate with teachers, parents, and interdisciplinary teams
  • Effective communicator with excellent organizational abilities
  • Positive, proactive approach to meeting student needs

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments to identify students’ academic, emotional, and behavioral needs
  • Develop and contribute to Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Provide counseling services to students, both individually and in groups
  • Work closely with teachers, staff, and families to design interventions
  • Support crisis intervention and prevention initiatives
  • Maintain accurate records and timely documentation of services and progress
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive school climate
