School Psychologist in Groton, CT

Step into a fulfilling contract opportunity providing essential psychological services to students from PreK through 8th grade for the upcoming academic year. In this role, you’ll collaborate within a supportive school environment, serving an integral part in helping children thrive both academically and emotionally. This position runs from August 26th to June 10th, with a set Monday through Friday schedule, 30 hours per week (9 AM–3 PM).

Key Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in School Psychology
• Valid 070 School Psychologist Licensure (or eligibility)
• Experience working with PreK-8th grade students preferred
• Proficient in conducting assessments, counseling, and supporting IEP development
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide counseling and intervention services to students as needed
• Perform psychoeducational assessments and interpret results
• Develop and contribute to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to promote student success
• Support crisis intervention and behavioral planning as required
• Maintain accurate records while ensuring student confidentiality
