Step into a pivotal role supporting elementary students from PreK through 8th grade as an in-person School Psychologist. This rewarding contract opportunity, located near Gurnee, IL, spans the entire school year, commencing on August 19, 2026, and concluding on June 2, 2027. You’ll have the chance to work hands-on with students, families, and educators, helping to foster a positive and inclusive school environment.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid School Psychologist license or certification (required)
  • Expertise working with elementary-age students, PreK-8th grade
  • Previous experience in a school setting preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams
  • Commitment to in-person work on campus (this is not a hybrid or remote position)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer psychological assessments and interpret results to guide student support strategies
  • Develop and implement individualized education and intervention plans
  • Consult regularly with teachers and school staff to address student behavioral, social, or academic concerns
  • Provide counseling and crisis intervention for students as needed
  • Support families and connect them with appropriate resources and services
  • Maintain thorough and timely documentation in accordance with regulatory and school guidelines
  • Participate in IEP meetings and deliver recommendations

This position offers a standard 37.5-hour work week, with daily start and end times varying by school site (for example, intermediate school from 8:20 to 3:55 or middle school from 7:40 to 3:15), aligned with the school calendar for maximum consistency and work-life balance.
