School Psychologist in Hampton, VA

We’re seeking a skilled professional ready to serve as a School Psychologist on a contract basis from August 2026 through June 2027. With a full-time schedule of 35-37.5 hours per week, your expertise will reach across elementary, middle, and high school populations. Key Qualifications and Experience:

• Active School Psychologist license or certification valid for the duration of the assignment
• Previous experience providing psychological services in K-12 school environments is highly desired
• Strong background in conducting assessments and evaluations
• Familiarity with IEP processes and participation in multidisciplinary team meetings
• Effective communication skills for collaborative work with educators, students, and families
• Ability to work independently while integrating seamlessly into established school teams
• Strong organizational skills and thorough documentation capabilities

Role Responsibilities:

• Administer cognitive, academic, social, behavioral, and emotional assessments for a diverse student population
• Participate in eligibility, reevaluation, and IEP meetings, offering expert input to guide student support plans
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to interpret data and develop evidence-based intervention recommendations
• Maintain detailed and confidential documentation in compliance with school and district policies
• Offer crisis intervention and short-term counseling as needed
• Provide consultation and support to teachers, administrators, and families to foster positive student outcomes
