The position will run through June 4th, 2027, providing consistency for the school community and the incoming specialist.
Key Qualifications:
- Current and valid South Carolina (SC) School Psychologist License is required
- Experience working with high school-aged students preferred
- Strong assessment, consultation, and counseling skills
- Familiarity with educational planning and recommendations
- Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with students, staff, and families
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments for referrals, reevaluations, and eligibility reviews
- Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings to develop student intervention and support plans
- Provide direct counseling and crisis intervention as needed
- Develop recommendations and strategies for student success in academic and behavioral domains
- Consult with teachers, administrators, and family members to foster supportive learning environments
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation according to professional standards and regulations
