A contract school psychologist is needed to provide essential services to middle and high school students, ranging in age from 12 to 18 (and up to 21 for special education). This long-term role runs through May 28, 2027, and is based in a connected middle and high school setting near Hanover, PA.
As a valued member of the educational team, you will be a vital resource for both students and staff, with an average caseload of around 25 students by year’s end. Workdays are from 7:10 am to 2:40 pm, and you will be at work 7.5 hours per day, with compensation for 7 hours daily (for a total of 35 paid hours per week). Earn between $55 and $60 per hour while making a difference in the lives of young people.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist
- Experience working with students ages 12 – 18; familiarity with special education services for students up to age 21 is a plus
- Strong skills in assessment, intervention, consultation, and collaboration within a school setting
- Ability to effectively communicate findings and recommendations to students, families, and school staff
- Compassionate, student-centered approach, with ethical and professional standards
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments and interpret results for educational planning
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide counseling, crisis intervention, and consultation as needed
- Support staff with implementation of behavioral interventions and academic modifications
- Help create a positive climate promoting students’ social-emotional well-being
