School Psychologist – Middle and High School
Location
This education industry position is located in Steelton, Pennsylvania, with consideration for candidates commuting from surrounding areas including Harrisburg, Hershey, Middletown, Mechanicsburg, and Camp Hill. The assignment is onsite for the 2026-2027 school year, running from August 17, 2026 through May 26, 2027. Candidates will work a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week while supporting middle and high school students within the district.
Position Overview
Soliant Education is seeking a dedicated School Psychologist for a contract opportunity during the 2026-2027 school year. The selected professional will support a middle and high school caseload with approximately 50-100 initial evaluations annually. This district is open to a hybrid schedule consisting of three onsite days and two remote days each week, while still maintaining strong collaboration with students, families, and school staff.
Responsibilities
The School Psychologist will conduct evaluations, complete assessment reporting, and participate in eligibility and IEP meetings throughout the school year. Additional responsibilities include collaborating with educators, administrators, and support teams to help develop effective academic and behavioral interventions for students. The ideal candidate will maintain accurate documentation, communicate professionally with families, and contribute to a positive and student-focused educational environment.
Requirements
Qualified applicants must hold an active Pennsylvania School Psychologist Certification and have experience working within school-based settings. Bilingual candidates fluent in both English and Spanish are strongly preferred for this opportunity. Applicants should demonstrate strong organizational skills, effective communication abilities, and the capacity to manage evaluation timelines in a fast-paced educational setting.
Compensation and Benefits
This is a contract position through Soliant Education for the 2026-2027 school year. Compensation would be between $45-$65 an hour depending on experience. Benefits available to eligible employees include health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan, and weekly pay. Candidates will complete an initial phone screening with a recruiter prior to being submitted to the school district for consideration.
