Step into a rewarding contract role dedicated to supporting elementary-aged students as a School Psychologist in a vibrant educational community near Hartford, CT. In this full-time position, you’ll work 37.5 hours per week, from 7:45 am to 3:15 pm, contributing to the growth and well-being of a manageable caseload of 10 students within an elementary school setting. Your expertise will guide students and staff through essential assessments and provide targeted counseling, helping to shape a positive and supportive school environment.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

  • Master’s or doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
  • Valid state certification or license as a School Psychologist
  • Previous experience working with elementary school-aged children preferred
  • Strong assessment, intervention, and counseling skills
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with teaching staff, families, and other specialists
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation abilities

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments for elementary students
  • Deliver individual and small-group counseling to support social, emotional, and behavioral development
  • Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to create and implement individualized support plans
  • Participate in team meetings, IEP development, and progress monitoring
  • Maintain thorough documentation and confidential student records in accordance with policy
  • Serve as an advocate for students’ mental health and educational success
