Elementary School Psychologist | Hartford, Connecticut

Based near Hartford, CT, this full-time contract role is designed for professionals eager to provide both assessment and counseling services within a collaborative school setting.

You’ll enjoy a consistent weekday schedule, working 37.5 hours, Monday through Friday (7:45 am – 3:15 pm), focused on supporting the unique needs of a small group of 10 elementary students. This role does not offer hybrid or virtual options, allowing you to form strong, in-person connections with students and colleagues.

Qualifications & Experience

• Certified or licensed School Psychologist (per state requirements)
• Experience working with elementary-aged children is essential
• Skilled in conducting psychological and educational assessments
• Competence in delivering individual and group counseling
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Commitment to full-time, onsite presence

Role Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students’ needs and support eligibility determinations
• Offer direct counseling services to address academic, social, and behavioral concerns
• Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and special education teams to develop and implement effective student interventions
• Participate in the creation and review of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Maintain thorough, confidential records and complete all required documentation promptly
