Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current School Psychologist certification or credential valid in Alabama
- Master’s or Specialist degree in School Psychology or related field
- Proven experience conducting assessments, developing individualized education plans (IEPs), and implementing a variety of behavioral and academic interventions
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and parents
- Proficient in counseling techniques and comfortable providing crisis intervention as needed
- Ability to manage multiple caseloads and support students across grade levels
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct cognitive, academic, and behavioral assessments for students referred by school staff or families
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design, coordinate, and document IEPs and 504 plans
- Provide direct and consultative services to help students access the curriculum and achieve emotional well-being
- Offer guidance and training to educators on classroom interventions, mental health, and behavior planning
- Participate in eligibility and progress review meetings, ensuring compliance with state and federal educational standards
