Position Overview

Jefferson Parish Schools is seeking qualified School Psychologists to join its student support services team for the 2026–2027 school year. This full-time opportunity offers the chance to collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support students' academic, behavioral, and social-emotional success.

School assignments and caseloads will be determined based on district needs.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and assessments
  • Interpret assessment data and develop written evaluation reports
  • Participate in eligibility, IEP, and multidisciplinary team meetings
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and related service providers
  • Provide consultation regarding behavioral, academic, and social-emotional interventions
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with federal, state, and district regulations
  • Support students through data-driven decision-making and evidence-based practices

Required Qualifications

  • Active Louisiana Department of Education School Psychologist Certification
  • Active professional license in the state where the candidate resides
  • Experience conducting psychoeducational evaluations in a school setting preferred
  • Strong written communication, organizational, and collaboration skills

Screening & Credentialing Requirements

  • Successful completion of all district onboarding requirements
  • Drug screening and fingerprinting required by Jefferson Parish Schools
  • Completion of all district credentialing requirements
