Position Overview
Jefferson Parish Schools is seeking qualified School Psychologists to join its student support services team for the 2026–2027 school year. This full-time opportunity offers the chance to collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support students' academic, behavioral, and social-emotional success.
School assignments and caseloads will be determined based on district needs.
Primary Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and assessments
- Interpret assessment data and develop written evaluation reports
- Participate in eligibility, IEP, and multidisciplinary team meetings
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and related service providers
- Provide consultation regarding behavioral, academic, and social-emotional interventions
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with federal, state, and district regulations
- Support students through data-driven decision-making and evidence-based practices
Required Qualifications
- Active Louisiana Department of Education School Psychologist Certification
- Active professional license in the state where the candidate resides
- Experience conducting psychoeducational evaluations in a school setting preferred
- Strong written communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
Screening & Credentialing Requirements
- Successful completion of all district onboarding requirements
- Drug screening and fingerprinting required by Jefferson Parish Schools
- Completion of all district credentialing requirements
