Ideal qualifications and experience:

  • Valid license or certification as a School Psychologist
  • Advanced degree in School Psychology or related field
  • Familiarity with administering assessments and interventions for students from diverse backgrounds
  • Experience conducting evaluations, including eligibility for special education services
  • Comprehensive understanding of psychological best practices and state/federal guidelines within educational settings
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare detailed reports and participate in IEP meetings
  • Compassionate and approachable demeanor to foster trust with students, families, and colleagues
  • Experience or interest in working with elementary students is highly desirable

Key responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive psychological assessments and develop individualized recommendations
  • Participate in IEP, student support, and multidisciplinary team meetings
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and families to implement strategies that enhance student learning and well-being
  • Provide direct counseling and crisis intervention as needed
  • Contribute to the development of positive behavioral intervention plans
  • Offer expertise and training to staff regarding mental health, behavior management, and academic interventions
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with all applicable policies
