A rewarding contract opportunity is available for skilled school psychologists passionate about supporting students’ growth and well-being. You’ll work with elementary and middle school populations, providing valuable psychoeducational services and guidance in a collaborative setting. Two positions are open, with assignments starting as soon as possible and lasting through mid-June.
Key Qualifications:
- Active MSDE psychologist certification required
- Previous school psychology experience strongly preferred
- Ability to conduct psychoeducational evaluations and interpret results for diverse student populations
- Comfortable participating in various team meetings, including MTSS, IEP, and 504
- Demonstrated counseling skills and the capacity to build rapport with students, staff, and families
- Flexibility to manage caseloads that fluctuate based on referrals (typically around 70 evaluations and an additional counseling caseload)
- Commitment to working in person during standard school hours
Your Role:
- Conduct thorough psychoeducational assessments for students in elementary and middle grades
- Actively engage in multidisciplinary team processes, including MTSS, IEP, and 504 plan meetings
- Provide counseling services to students as assigned
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to support positive student outcomes
- Maintain accurate records and communicate findings effectively
- Utilize school-provided technology to document and manage student data
This contract position follows the standard Monday through Friday school schedule, with elementary hours from 8:15-3:45 and secondary hours from 7:30-3:00, totaling 37.5 hours per week. All necessary technology, such as a laptop, will be provided to support your work on-site.
