This opportunity—conveniently situated in the vicinity of Havre De Grace and Elkton, MD—calls for a dedicated professional ready to start as soon as possible and continue through mid-June. Work closely with elementary or middle school students while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to further student success.
Qualifications:
- Holds a valid Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) school psychologist certification
- Experienced with psychoeducational evaluations, IEP development, and 504 planning
- Comfortable managing a variable caseload (typically around 70 evaluations along with counseling)
- Skilled at facilitating meetings and collaborating with teachers and families
- Adaptable between elementary and middle school settings
- Strong organizational and communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations to support student learning needs
- Provide individual and group counseling services as part of a counseling caseload
- Attend and contribute to IEP, 504, and Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTTS) meetings
- Work collaboratively with educators and families to develop and monitor intervention plans
- Ensure timely documentation and maintain compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Support students’ academic and emotional development in both evaluation and counseling capacities
