Step into an impactful role serving both middle and elementary school students in a dynamic educational environment. This contract position offers the opportunity to start as early as August 3rd, with flexibility until August 10th if needed—just in time to support returning students. The assignment runs through the second week of June, providing a full school-year experience.
Utilize your expertise as a School Psychologist to make significant contributions through direct assessments, intervention, and collaboration. You’ll work 37.5 hours per week, with full 8-hour days and a 30-minute unpaid lunch. Your support will span two campuses within the same system, focusing on a manageable caseload of 60-80 psychological evaluations over the year. Importantly, responsibilities are limited to psychological testing; there is no educational testing required. Additional duties include conducting Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) and providing counseling services as needed.
Qualifications:
- Current certification or licensure as a School Psychologist
- Experience conducting psychological evaluations with school-age children
- Proficiency in administering and interpreting a broad array of psychological assessments
- Ability to perform FBAs and deliver effective counseling
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Adaptability and strong collaboration skills to work with multidisciplinary teams
Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological evaluations for a caseload of 60-80 students annually
- Lead FBAs to assess behavioral needs and support intervention planning
- Provide direct counseling services to students
- Collaborate closely with educators, administrators, and families
- Document and communicate assessment results and recommendations
