Qualifications and Experience:

  • Master's or higher degree in School Psychology or a closely related field
  • Valid School Psychologist credential or eligibility in California
  • Strong assessment, counseling, and consultation skills
  • Experience developing and implementing IEPs
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
  • Commitment to culturally responsive support and advocacy for diverse students

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations and assessments for students referred for special education or mental health services
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to identify student needs and recommend interventions
  • Provide individual and group counseling to support students’ emotional, behavioral, and social development
  • Participate actively in the IEP process, including meetings, goal development, and progress monitoring
  • Consult with classroom teachers and staff to develop strategies that enhance learning and well-being
  • Respond promptly and compassionately to crisis situations as they arise
  • Maintain thorough, timely documentation in accordance with federal, state, and district guidelines
