Qualifications and Experience:
- Master's or higher degree in School Psychology or a closely related field
- Valid School Psychologist credential or eligibility in California
- Strong assessment, counseling, and consultation skills
- Experience developing and implementing IEPs
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
- Commitment to culturally responsive support and advocacy for diverse students
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations and assessments for students referred for special education or mental health services
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to identify student needs and recommend interventions
- Provide individual and group counseling to support students’ emotional, behavioral, and social development
- Participate actively in the IEP process, including meetings, goal development, and progress monitoring
- Consult with classroom teachers and staff to develop strategies that enhance learning and well-being
- Respond promptly and compassionately to crisis situations as they arise
- Maintain thorough, timely documentation in accordance with federal, state, and district guidelines
