School Psychologist - Henrico, Virginia

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid Virginia State School Psychologist License required
• Prior experience working with K-12 populations (elementary focus strongly preferred)
• Strong assessment, communication, and counseling skills
• Familiarity with multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS) and special education processes
• Compassionate, collaborative, and proactive in supporting students and staff
• Ability to interpret data and communicate findings effectively to both educators and families

Core Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations, assessments, and re-evaluations for K-12 students
• Provide direct counseling services and crisis intervention as needed
• Consult with teachers, administrators, and families regarding students’ needs and progress
• Support the development and implementation of individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to inform educational decisions
• Serve as an advocate for students’ mental health and learning needs within the school community
• Stay current with best practices, state regulations, and program requirements
