Currently, the in-house psychologist is not bilingual, so your ability to communicate fluently in both English and Spanish will be highly valued in fostering better connections with students and families.
This part-time position is designed with flexibility, with the potential for it to transition to a full-time role for the right contractor. The school especially encourages professionals comfortable collaborating with a diverse and dynamic team.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Licensed or certified School Psychologist
- Experience working in a school setting
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish required
- Strong skills in assessment, counseling, and collaborating with educators and families
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- New school year (NSY) experience preferred, but not required
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete psychoeducational evaluations and provide recommendations
- Participate in IEP and multidisciplinary team meetings
- Offer counseling and crisis intervention for students
- Consult with teachers, administrators, and parents to support academic and emotional well-being
- Help implement interventions and monitor student progress
- Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment, especially for Spanish-speaking students and families
