This full-time position runs from August 4th through the end of December, offering the chance to provide essential support during two consecutive maternity leaves. You'll work 37.5 hours each week, across five days, in a collaborative and dynamic school environment near Hixson, TN.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid state certification or license as a School Psychologist
- Prior experience within school-based settings preferred
- Strong assessment, intervention, and consultation skills
- Ability to work effectively with elementary-aged children and larger student populations
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide psychological and academic assessments for students, with a focus on early intervention and educational planning
- Consult with educators and parents to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavioral objectives
- Support social-emotional learning and foster positive academic environments
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and provide guidance on student support strategies
- Serve as a resource for school personnel and families, advocating for students’ academic and emotional needs during the leave coverage
This contract assignment will primarily serve an elementary site of approximately 500 students, ensuring continuity and quality of psychological services throughout both consecutive maternity leaves.
