School Psychologist in Hopkins, MN

Make a meaningful impact in the educational journey of students as a contract School Psychologist for a full-time assignment spanning from late August to Winter Break. This dynamic position provides the opportunity to work both onsite and virtually, supporting two maternity leave absences with a 40-hour workweek schedule.

Leverage your expertise by providing comprehensive psychological services—including student evaluations, collaborative consultation, and direct support. You’ll play an integral role in developing and implementing Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals and Positive Behavior Support Plans (PBSP) guided by Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA). Close collaboration with school staff, families, and administrators ensures that students receive effective support, and all interventions are in line with state and federal regulations.

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Valid Minnesota school psychologist certification/license (required)
• Strong familiarity with IEP goal setting and PBSP creation utilizing FBAs
• Prior experience interpreting/applying state and federal special education laws and guidelines
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary educational team
• Skilled at communicating with diverse audiences, including students, staff, and families

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct psychological and educational assessments to inform services
• Develop and monitor IEP goals in collaboration with teams
• Design and implement PBSPs utilizing FBA data
• Provide direct student support services, as needed
• Consult and collaborate with staff and families to support student growth
• Help ensure compliance with legal and procedural requirements
