School Psychologist – Travel Position

Location: Houston, TX

Qualifications

  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology required
  • Valid Texas School Psychologist certification or eligibility required
  • Strong knowledge of special education laws, psychological testing, and intervention strategies
  • Experience working in a school setting preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse student populations, staff, and parents

Pay: $45+ per hour, based on experience

Position Details

  • Full-time travel assignment for the 2026–2027 school year
  • K–12 caseload; additional details discussed during interview

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct psychological assessments to evaluate student learning and behavioral needs
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs
  • Provide direct counseling and intervention services for students with emotional and behavioral challenges
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to implement evidence-based interventions and strategies
  • Support crisis intervention and school-wide behavioral initiatives
  • Provide professional development and training related to social-emotional learning, behavior management, and mental health
  • Consult with parents and guardians regarding student support strategies
  • Assist in fostering a positive and inclusive school environment
