Make a difference in the lives of students by providing essential psychological services on a contract basis at a welcoming educational setting in the Humboldt, IA area. Utilize your specialized training as a School Psychologist to support student wellbeing, collaborate with faculty, and contribute to a supportive, inclusive environment. This is an on-site opportunity, and does not involve virtual or teletherapy duties.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist, in accordance with state regulations
- Previous experience working with school-age children and adolescent populations
- Strong skills in assessment, counseling, consultation, and intervention within a school environment
- Ability to design, implement, and monitor behavior management plans
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills with teachers, administrators, and families
- Commitment to confidentiality, ethical practice, and cultural competence
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations and interpret test results to guide educational planning
- Develop and recommend interventions to support individual student learning and emotional needs
- Collaborate with educational teams to develop and implement IEPs, 504 plans, and other student supports
- Provide crisis intervention, counseling, and consultation services as needed
- Serve as a resource to staff and parents, offering expertise in educational and psychological best practices
- Document assessments, maintain records, and participate in relevant meetings and professional development
